unique new facility, Midland Mainline’s Customer Service
Academy is a first for the UK rail industry, stating a clear commitment
both to customers and staff. Each year, every member of Midland
Mainline staff will attend the Academy to learn and develop their
customer service skills to meet the high expectations of today’s
consumer. The Academy covers a wide range of training subjects
from attitude and behaviour, to driver training, I.T. and languages.
The use of this new facility required the highest levels of intelligibility
and reliability and, therefore, acoustic consultants specified
the use of NXT-based loudspeakers. Together with the customer’s
request for ‘invisible’ speakers, Armstrong i-ceilings
once again provided the perfect solution.
Not only were the customers more than happy that these criteria
were met, but were also impressed with the reduced feedback from
radio microphones, a problem often occurring due to inexperienced
operatives. This reduction is another of the many benefits found
in NXT technology based loudspeaker products.
