Representing a major milestone in the history of medicine in Edinburgh, the recently opened Medical School, part of The University of Edinburgh and built on the New Royal Infirmary campus, is the most modern facility of its type in Europe. Here, some of the most innovative approaches to teaching and research of Developmental Sciences and Medicine are undertaken.

Providing an impressive entrance to the Department, The Chancellor's Building opens into a four-storey high, glass fronted atrium.

To ensure complete paging coverage throughout this acoustically difficult space, the integration of Armstrong
i-ceilings CS-1000 panels was ideal, benefiting both from a wide dispersion & non-reflective audio characteristics. CS-1000 Sound Panels were also utilised in the adjacent Undergraduate's Refectory and Research Areas to continue the uncluttered lines of the ceiling plane.
